Joanne Redmond

Author & Speaker

Joanne has worked in marketing and executive communications throughout her career. She currently supports the Chairman and CEO of one of the world’s largest technology companies.

She was born and raised in Northeast Ohio, where she began her career as a consultant working with Japanese expatriates. Her fascination with international business combined with her experience with Japanese individuals and families led her to write her first book, Beginner’s Japanese.

After life took an unexpected turn and an opportunity with a large technology company arose, she moved to New York City in the late 90’s where she lived, worked and thrived for many years. Her second book, Say a Little Prayer, was published during this time. Most of it was written during business trip flights to Asia and Australia. After all, one can only watch movies, catch up on email and sleep for so long on 14-hour journeys!

She currently resides in the Washington, D.C. area with her husband and daughter. She does miss New York every moment of every day, and dreams that one day they will return.
