Joanne Redmond

business professional, author, wife, mom

Joanne’s career has been an exciting adventure in marketing and executive communications. Her latest dream job has her leading events for the CEO of a major global technology company.

Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Joanne kicked off her career as a consultant helping Japanese expatriates adapt to life in the States. Her curiosity and love for Japanese language and culture inspired her to write her first book, Beginner’s Japanese, and earn an MBA in International Business.

When life threw her a curveball, Joanne jumped at the chance to join a large technology company in New York City in the late ’90s. She quickly made the city her beloved home, thriving both professionally and personally. When work called her to travel to Asia and Australia a dozen times in two years, she penned most of her second book, Say a Little Prayer, on airplanes. With so many hours in the air, ideas had room to soar!

These days, Joanne still calls New York City home, sharing adventures with her husband, daughter, and their lovable shih tzu, Sadie.
